December 2010
This is my obligatory “end of the year” post.
2010 is the first decade that I was alive through the entirety of and it has treated me well. Though at times things were not fully satisfying or easy, this year has been a beautiful learning experience. I turned 19, I fell in love, I sat by the beach, I moved away from home, I worked hard and I did my best to hold my head up high. The choices that I made are still ones that I do not regret, the places that I went and the people that I met made everything worthwhile. My high times are reaching new heights and my lows are seemingly more trivial and meaningless, so I will enjoy that while it lasts.

“Hang on, can I write this down?” said Arthur, excitedly fumbling in his pocket for a pencil.” —Douglas Adams, Mostly Harmless, Pan Books, UK; Harmony Books, U.S., 1992 (via amiquote)
If the poignancy in these photos was a bear, I’d be rapemauled to death twice over.
